Partner, J2 Ventures
Matthew Goldman is a Partner at J2 Ventures, a dual-use deep-technology venture capital fund. He previously served as the founding Chief Medical Officer at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), where he worked to accelerate the adoption of commercial innovation and technology for U.S. service members. His focus areas spanned safety, survivability, combat injury prevention, and training & simulation.
As a physician and researcher, Matthew has collaborated with NATO’s personalized medicine and performance committees and led projects ranging from gastric cancer research to the use of wearable technologies for the early detection of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
